Melbourne Youth Music's Teacher Professional Development Programme is designed to both promote and support growth and improvement in the professional knowledge and practice of instrumental ensemble music education for Victorian Music Educators.
Through our course you can learn to confidently develop and deliver inspirational instrumental music ensemble programmes.
With guidance from esteemed music educator Monte Mumford, explore ways to identify and rectify common ensemble problems associated with each instrument group, select appropriate repertoire, rehearse effectively and conduct with confidence .
This Course of study aims to explore a cross-section of ensemble fundamentals, while learning to learn to build a successful ensemble programme that is focussed on achieving real student-learning outcomes, in a rewarding way that encourages your students’ curiosity, keeping them motivated and engaged with each rehearsal.
